Empire Art Direct’s collection of reverse printed, frame-less, free floating, tempered glass was inspired by the French technique of Verre Eglomise in which artist's literally painted the back of clear glass so that when viewed from the front the painting is brought to life under the depth of the glass. This image has a striking contrast, vertically bisected by a band of white and gold, leaving grey and black landscapes on either side. The beauty of the formless interactions in this image is that the eye can find all manner of shapes and stories within; a mountain range with shadowy steps, or a clash of two alien oceans. There is both conflict and reconciliation in the flowing contours.
